Terms of Service
Last updated: March 17, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Convot ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. What Convot provides
Convot is a software platform that lets you create chatbots trained on your own content (documents, URLs, text), embed them on your website, and capture leads through conversational flows. We provide the software, hosting, and infrastructure. You provide the content and configuration.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of all content you upload (documents, URLs, text, images). By uploading content, you grant Convot a limited license to process, store, and index that content solely to provide the Service. You represent that you have the right to upload and use the content you provide.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Resell the Service without written permission
6. Subscription and billing
Convot offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly. Plan limits (bots, queries, documents, features) are enforced as described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
7. Data and privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We process data as described there.
8. Third-party services
Convot uses third-party services to provide functionality (language models, hosting, authentication). Your use of the Service is subject to those providers' terms as well. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.
9. Service availability
We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Convot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless required by law to retain it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
